Lovibond DPD4 tablets for total bromine or active oxygen

Lovibond DPD4 tablets are used to measure the total (i.e. free + combined) bromine or active oxygen in your pool or spa water. They are the exact equivalent of adding a DPD1 tablet and a DPD3 tablet to the same water sample. They are compatible with all standard DPD colour comparators, including the test kits available on Tubs.

DPD4 is typically used on spas treated with bromine, as - unlike chlorine - both free and combined bromine are disinfectants, so the total bromine gives you a good indication of the overall disinfection capacity of the water.
