It can be difficult to recognize a water control valve or its component parts if you want to replace them on your spa. Each manufacturer uses a different design, and parts from one brand will not help you repair a valve of a different brand.

Look carefully at the shape of the valve gate, as this is what varies the most from brand to brand. To make your search easier, the photos show the most common brands of water control valves used by spa manufacturers: Waterway, LVJ, Rising Dragon, CMP and Jazzi. You should also check whether a part number is moulded into the plastic somewhere, and take note of the valve dimensions.

Some brands offer the same valve but in different sizes (3/4" or 1" for example). The basic shape of the valve gate will be the same.
